ANNOUNCING.........Coming Soon
An ACIM-Spiritual
Astrology-themed
Chaco Canyon - Chimney Rock - Canyon de Chelly

Here's a great opportunity to visit great southwestern landmarks considered sacred by the Hopi and Navajo. Most likely you'll feel the same way after you experience these ancient sites. Chaco Canyon, located in northwestern New Mexico south, south east of Farmington, is one of the rare sites of the world where the wise men of their day tracked the solar AND lunar cycles. Chaco was home to over 30,000 souls at certain times of the year. Roads were built radiating from the Canyon seemingly to nowhere. You'll have the opportunity to sleep at the area campsite and experience the vibrations from the ground as well as the starry, unpolluted, skies above. What did these ancients know then that has not been passed on to the masses. Definitely a chance for your intuitional self to shine.

After a night in the canyon and exploring the ruins we'll be traveling north to Chimney Rock just over the border in Colorado. At this location, the ancients established solstice markers and honored the extreme lunar cycle by building a pueblo where by the moon would be rising between the two spires at the top of the mountain for a period of about three years out of the 18.6 lunar cycle. We'll be staying within a stone's throw of the Piedra River or Navajo Resevoir. This is an area where the citizens of the day hunted and farmed a thousand years ago. Some have labeled Chimney Rock as a masculine vortex. Where is a feminine vortex you say? Just 17 miles east at Pagosa Springs. . We'll set aside a few hours for those who would like to take a dip in the mineral hot springs.

Canyon de Chelly, one of the most beautiful places on earth will be the final stop of
our spirit-quest trinity. A sunrise observance will take place at Spider
Rock prior to our return to the Valley of the Sun. A Course in Miracles
theme together with Spiritual Astrology
be served as soul food along the trek with the beautiful earth
scenery as a backdrop.

with civilizations of native Americans in the southwest and their
tracking of celestial cycles and their philosophies of life. Ken thought
it would be interesting to have a group of ACIM students/teachers
experience an outing to some of the great
southwesern landmarks.

an amazing grasp of the Course and
is able to share her insights for new and veteran students alike.

GREAT SPIRIT ADVENTURES:

Above is a view from Chimney Rock looking north of west. If you look to the right of the reservoir in the center you'll see a smaller patch of water. That is where we will have our trip headquarters. The ridge that flows upward is Peterson Ridge. There are several unexcavated ancient houses along the ridge. Locations along the ridge were marked for viewing the sun at summer solstice and equinox as well as the Moon when it rose at the standstill. The Rio Piedra River flows from right to left between the bodies of water you see and the ridge.
The Rio Piedra River runs near the trees beyond the pond.

A breath-taking view of Chimney Rock . Just imaging the moon rising between the spires!
