NCAA Top 30 by Power Rating
The first week is in the books and it's the same list usual suspects at the top of the list of most powerful college teams in the land. In spite of Miami's loss to Florida State, they are rated above the Seminoles due to a very strong road rating. The Irish are going to be in the mix for the whole year and Oregon is going to be the biggest challenge to USC, not California.

The following top plays for College and the NFL are derived from Mercury trends. This week Mercury is in Libra.
NCAA TOP Plays
Nevada(-7.0) over Northwestern
The Wolf Pack is 8-1 as a home favorite when Mercury is transiting Libra. There are no Wildcats here,
just pussycats. Lay the fur and watch the Wolves skin the Cats. NEVADA!
Minnesota(+2.5) over Purdue
The Gophers will be running and running up the score. The vermin are 19-15 as a road dog while the homers are just
11-21 as a home chalk. Take the point or two and "Go-Pher" the payout window. MINNESOTA!
Wake Forest(+3.0) over Mississippi
When was the last time The Demon Deacons started a season 4-0? I don't know now, but I may know after this
game. Wake is 8-0 as a road dog of 3-4 points while the Rebels are 1-3 as a home favorite of 2-3 points. Wake Up! Take the trio and re-bel against your book. WAKE!
Tulsa(+5.5) over Navy
The Midshipmen haven't done well as a home fave when Mercury is "scaling" through the heavens
compiling a 3-9 record vs the line. The Golden Hurricane has blown by their opposition 5 of 7 times as a road woofer of 3-5 points. Take the nickels and TULSA!
Ohio(+20.0) over Missouri
The Bobcats have one of the best road records versus the spread when Mercury visits Libra.
They are 15-6 and 6-0 as a road dog of 19-21 points. Mizzou isn't bad as a home chalk(17-13) but the cats have a lot of points to work with and the Tigers have their first conference game at home next week with Colorado. Take the points and play 20 WON. OHIO U!
Connecticut(+2.0) over Indiana
The Huskies are used to playing major conference competition on the road as a Big East rep and so far
they are a healthy 8-3 as a road Merc-Libra dog. That could well be good enough for a road win at Bloomington. Take the duece and "Hoosier" sportsbook, Daddy? CT!
Alabama(+2.5) over Arkansas
The hottest team in Division 1-A on the road with Merc in Falls' first sign is the Crimson Tide.
"Bama is 9-1 as a road pup while the Hawgs are 20-26 as a home favorite. Take the two and the hook and go "Hog Wild". ALABAMA!
NC State(+7.0) over Boston College
So far the Wolfpack has been toothless but consider this team as a wounded wolf--very dangerous...and
the Eagles had better not be resting on the overtime laurels. Take the points and watch the guy on the sidelines with the funny glasses..he's not going to be as sad as the sportsbook guy. NC STATE!
Washington(+3.5) over UCLA
Willingham has the dogs playing better and they're starting to believe the can beat most anyone that comes to Seattle. Combine this with the fact that they are 10-5 as home puppy during this Mercury trend and 3-1 as a home dog of 3-4 points. WASHINGTON!
South Florida(+5.5) over Kansas
The Bulls are going to be nasty to the Jayhawk rider and you'll have a chance to read about the gory details. Take the points and be bullish with you book. SOUTH FLORIDA!
