Article: The Tiger seems to
be sleeping say the fans of greens and bunkers. Ah, but if they
could all see the graphic progressed declination chart of the
Great Cat, they would understand more about this feline that prowls
the land of eighteen. When Tiger came into this world, he was
blessed with a Mars that was at an extreme northern latitude,
at just about 26 degrees. In declinational astrology, planets
that are north or south of 23 degrees 26 minutes are considered
to be out-of-bounds. The out-of-bounds marker for golfers and
all others is the point at which the sun reaches it's greatest
northern(summer at 0 degrees Cancer) and southern(winter at 0
degrees Capricorn) distance from the equator. The signs where
planets can be found out-of-bounds are the signs on each side
of the solstice points. Gemini and Cancer in northern signs and
Sagittarius and Capricorn in southern signs. Northern placements
of declination seem to indicate that an individual or team has
more control over their own destiny, while southern declinations
indicate a destiny-fulfilling role that often involves others.
Tiger has a few more planets in southern declination than the
north, but that Mars says a lot. It's interesting that Michael
Jordan and Wayne Gretzky also have a northern out-of-bounds Mars.
The out-of-bounds interpretation of a planet is that unusual talents
symbolized by that planet can manifest through the individual
in their lifetime. It's still free will as to how that talent
energy is projected, but hopefully it is done for the good of
all or within reason. Tiger began his professional golfing career
in Milwaukee August 29, 1996. It's interesting that Jupiter was
23S23 forming an exact parallel with natal sun at 23S08. Natal
Moon(20S33) was paralleled by Uranus(20S28) and Neptune(20S36)
which would coincide with electricity and mystique to the nth
degree. So why is the Tiger taking a catnap from the winner's
circle this season? There have been a couple of wins early in
the year but nothing since the Buick Open and the Match Play Championship.
It's interesting that about one half of the wins Tiger has on
the tour have come with at least one planet transiting out-of-bounds.{Tigers
latest win on October 5 was a tournament that began with the Moon
OB on the previous Thursday, Oct 2nd at 26 degrees south forming
an electric contra-parallell!]We haven't had many out-of-bounds
planets working this year which might explain something, but when
you look at the path of the progressed Moon at this point in 2003,
the progressed declination has earth's satellite at the southern-most
point in the cycle for Tiger. It's sometimes equivalent to a cosmic
timeout. Many people will experience major relationship developments
an this point. Marriage, divorce, birth of children, or new alliances
that will accompany the person for many years. I am not aware
if Tiger is dating anyone or if he has any serious companion,
but it wouldn't be out of character for the cosmos to perform
some kind of relationship ceremony at this time. One of the things
I have noticed in charts is that when the progressed Moon intersects
the north node declination point(and sometimes even to the south
node point), good things happen, such as Bobby Bonds hitting 73
home runs, Babe Ruth hitting the record 60 at the time in 1927
and even Mark McGwire setting the record for a couple of years
before Barry exceeded that record. Teams can win championships
too. In Tiger's case the Moon intersected formed a brief parallel
in 2000, the year he won three of the four grand slam events.
2004 could be somewhat similar to this year but there will be
another intersection in 2005. If Tiger is in the tournaments that
year, he should be at or near the top most of the year. I would
expect that if there are some out-of-bounds planets by declination
transit, the rest of the men's tour is in big trouble because
the tiger will be finished with his nap. |
